Transcription of Birth (Up to 5 Years Old)
The transcription of birth up to 5 years of age is a procedure carried out based on the Birth Certificate issued by local authorities.
Requirements
The presence of at least one parent is mandatory.
Original documents must be presented, accompanied by one photocopy of each.
Required Documents
Document issued by the hospital (Personbevis).
Parents’ Documents:
A. Parent with Angolan citizenship:
Valid Consular Registration Card.
Valid National Identity Card (Bilhete de Identidade), OR
Birth Certificate issued in Angola, endorsed by the Integrated Services of the National Directorate of Identification, Registration and Notary of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, and authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX).
Passport (pages 1, 2, and last page) – complementary document.
B. Parent with foreign citizenship:
For foreign nationals: Valid National ID card (ID), OR
Full Copy of Birth Certificate from the country of origin.
All foreign birth certificates must be translated into Portuguese by an official translator.
Valid Passport.
Witnesses (Optional)
The presence of two witnesses aged 18 or older is optional.
They must present one of the following valid documents:National Identity Card (Bilhete de Identidade) or Citizen’s Card (ID)

Important Notes
For children of married parents, at least one parent must be present, and the absent parent’s documents must be submitted.
For children of unmarried parents, both parents must be present, or a power of attorney or written authorization must be provided in case one parent cannot attend at the time of application.
Additional Information
Failure to present all required documents may lead to rejection of the application.
The Consular Section reserves the right to request additional documentation or invite the applicant for an interview.
All documents in foreign languages must be translated into Portuguese by an official translator and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country.
All documents submitted remain the property of the Embassy of Angola.

7 working days (express): 1,000 NOK

Transcription of Birth (Ages 6 to 17)
The transcription of birth is carried out based on the Birth Certificate issued by local authorities.

Letter addressed to the Embassy of Angola in Sweden, requesting the transcription (template available at the Consular Section).
