Ordinary National Passport – First Issuance (1st Time)
The Ordinary National Passport is the official travel document issued to Angolan citizens for international travel.
Requirements
The presence of the applicant is mandatory.
The form must be completed in black ink, in block letters, without errors or erasures.
The signature on the form and all documents must be done in the presence of a consular officer.
Original documents must be presented with one photocopy of each.
Documents Required
Passport Application Form (1st Time) – available at the Consular Section.
Three (3) passport-sized color photographs with white background, taken within the last 6 months, showing ears clearly, with no smile, sunglasses, earrings (for men), piercing, scarf, turban, or fringe.
Valid Consular Registration Card.
National Identity Card (Bilhete de Identidade).
School or Professional Certificate (optional).
Military Registration (for applicants aged 18 and above, optional).
For Minors
In addition to items 1, 2, 3, and 5 above, please present one of the following:
Birth Certificate (up to 5 years old)
National Identity Card (from 6 years old)
Full Copy of Birth Certificate issued in Angola, authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX)
Full Copy of Nationality Certificate issued in Angola, endorsed by the National Directorate of Identification and Notary and authenticated by MIREX, along with the Official Gazette (Diário da República) confirming nationality

Emergency Travel Document (Salvo-Conduto)
The Emergency Travel Document (Salvo-Conduto)is a temporary travel document issued to Angolan citizens for a single journey back to Angola in the absence of a valid passport, due to loss, theft, destruction, or lack thereof. It is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Requirements
The presence of the applicant is mandatory.
The form must be filled in black ink, in block letters, without erasures.
Original documents must be submitted with photocopies of each.

Laissez-Passer Application Form – available at the Consular Section.
Two (2) recent passport-sized color photos (white background, same standards as above).
Valid Consular Registration Card.
National Identity Card (Bilhete de Identidade).

Short-Stay Visa (Visto de Curta Duração)
The Short-Stay Visa is granted to foreign citizens traveling to Angola for urgent professional, humanitarian, or family reasons that cannot be delayed.
It allows one or two entries and a stay of up to seven (7) days, extendable once for an additional seven (7) days.
Requirements
The presence of the applicant is mandatory.
The form must be completed in black ink, in block letters.
All documents must be original with one photocopy.

Temporary Stay Visa (Visto de Permanência Temporária)
The Temporary Stay Visa is issued to foreign citizens who intend to enter Angola for family, scientific research, business, humanitarian, or medical purposes.
It must be used within 60 days of issue and allows multiple entries for a 120-day stay, renewable for equal periods until the purpose of stay is fulfilled.
Requirements
The presence of the applicant is mandatory.
The form must be completed clearly in black ink.
All documents must be original with photocopies.

Passport valid for at least nine (9) months.

Transit Visa (Visto de Trânsito)
The Transit Visa is granted to a foreign citizen who must pass through Angolan territory to reach a third country.
It allows the holder to stay in Angola for up to five (5) days per entry and can be granted for one or two transits.

Tourist Visa (Visto de Turismo)
The Tourist Visa is granted to foreign citizens traveling to Angola for tourism purposes.
It must be used within 60 days from the date of issue and allows a stay of up to 30 days, renewable once for the same period.
Holders are not permitted to engage in paid professional activity in Angola.

The presence of the applicant is mandatory.
The form must be completed in black ink, in block letters, without errors or erasures.
The signature must be made in the presence of the consular officer.
Original documents must be presented with one photocopy of each.

Residence Visa (Visto para Fixação de Residência)
The Residence Visa is granted to a foreign citizen who wishes to establish residence in the Republic of Angola.
It must be used within 60 days from the date of issue and allows the holder to stay in Angola for 120 days, renewable for equal periods until the final decision on the residence permit application.
This visa also entitles the holder to engage in paid professional activity.

Medical Certificate issued by a Health Center, legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consular Section.
Declaration of compliance with the laws of the Republic of Angola, signed and notarized.
Proof of means of subsistence equivalent to USD 200 per day of stay in Angola (e.g., bank statement stamped by the issuing bank).

For Minors
